Local Learning @ Vermilionville Folklife Education Initiative Since 2012 Local Learning has collaborated with Vermilionvile in Lafayette, LA, to lead annual professional development institutes and support quarterly workshops, classroom residencies, and resource development at this folklife center and museum.

Local Learning staff work closely with local hosts to create interactive opportunities for folklorists and local educators to learn together during the annual American Folklore Society meetings held throughout the nation.
